How do you prevent UV flatbed printer printheads from being scratched? We are YDM uv printer factory, and as a printing factory with 20 years of experience, I have to share these five key tips!lets learn.
     1. Platform leveling is fundamental.
Material must be placed flat, the platform’s suction fan turned on, and the surface kept clean to prevent printhead scratches caused by uneven height or debris.
     2. Securely attach flexible material edges.
Many people in the industry use masking tape for edge application. We recommend choosing high-tack, high-quality, new adhesive tape, ensuring there are no bubbles or loose patches when applying. Low-quality or reused masking tape can easily warp, and when curled, the trolley can cause scratches on the printhead.
     3. Pre-treating special materials.
When printing on materials like leather and hardware, secure the edges with a double layer of paper tape and double-sided tape. For floor coverings with sand particles, the trolley head should be raised to allow for clearance to prevent the printhead from scratching the protruding surface of the material, which could lead to immediate printhead failure.
     4. Height Check of Irregular Parts
When printing irregularly shaped products (such as special-shaped hardware), the height must be measured individually to prevent protrusions from striking the printhead.
     5. Air Suction Control and Protection
Blank areas on the platform can be shielded with material to enhance air suction within the print area, preventing the printed material from bulging and scratching the printhead.
It’s important to remember: printhead is one of the most important part of UV printer and its maintenance is costly, and neglecting details can lead to significant damage! Following these five steps can effectively reduce the risk of printhead scratches by 90%.if you want to know more knowledge about UV flatbed printer, welcome to consult YDM!
